Orulisa is based in the lesser known region of Cantabria. "PUM" is a vibrant and addictive red blend made from multiple steep parcels planted on slate, limestone, quartzite and sandstone in Pumareña, an extreme mountain zone in Liébana. The vineyards are planted with a mix of local varieties -- Merenzao, Mencía, Garnacha Tintorera, Albarín Negro, and more, which are fermented together with native yeasts and raised in a small stainless steel tank. No SO2 was added until just before bottling. 400 bottles produced. A spicy, floral wine that leaps out of the glass.
