Not to be confused with the Willamette Valley, this wine hails from the much-less-known Umpqua Valley of southern Oregon. There, with the help of a warmer, drier climate, the Pinot Noir gets a quite a bit more ripe, which results in the production of darkly-fruited, medium-bodied wine with hints of baking spice and silky tannins.
