Kumeu River is hands-down the greatest producer of Chardonnay in New Zealand. This is their entry-level bottling, which is a blend of multiple vineyards. Bright lemon acidity, with a nice amount of oak that adds texture, not just vanilla. Lovers of White Burgundy should give this one some time in the glass.
