This charming, light red comes from the little-known DO of Arribes in far-western Spain. Rufete is a curious grape that is finally expressing itself well thanks to thoughtful wineries like Alva de Dios Hernandez. Think Pinot Noir with a little Jura wildness. Great balance of sappy red fruit and floral spice. A lot of wine for the money here.
