Tement is a master of Sauvignon Blanc in Steiermark, a lesser-known region in southern Austria that specialized in the variety. These vines are grown on fossilized limestone and there is a penetrating minerality to this wine, which, thanks to extended time on the lees, also has tremendous presence and texture. Great Austrian Sauvignon Blanc is more powerful than Sancerre and more lithe than white Bordeaux. And Tement is the best of the best.
