The family owned and run Wieninger estate covers more than 50 hectares (approximately 125 acres) and produces sparkling, white, rosé AND red wines, all from vineyards worked with balanced cultivation and according to Biodynamic guidelines. This Burgundian-style Pinot Noir is now hitting its peak, and shouldn't be left to age much longer. On the nose are ripe cherry and raspberry aromas along with a delicate spice and tar on the undertone. The juicy palate expresses ripe plum, a fine minerality, and a finessed acidity with soft, playful tannins. Highly elegant, and more than medium-bodied, this bottle would be an ideal pairing for Beef, game meat (deer or venison), or Duck.
