Lauer's warmest vineyard, Saarfeilser has deep gravelly soils topping the typical slate. Due to its ripeness it has the fleshiness of Pinot Noir, with the classic Riesling clean streak of acidity, and notes of stone fruits, yellow plums and soft spicy minerality.
