About the Master Mixologist: Eben Klemm was a researcher in molecular biology for 8 years before realizing that his science background, willingness to experiment, and fascination with cocktail culture and history would pay better if he was bar-tending. He was one of the first of his generation to be involved be several mini trends within the field and one of the last to acknowledge several others. He is co-founder of Cane & Maple, a beverage and restaurant consulting company. Eben’s cocktails have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Food & Wine, Time Out New York, Popular Science, and Playboy and has appeared on MSNBC, The Early Show, and 20/20. His book, The Cocktail Primer, was published by Andrews McNeel in 2009.
