This is quit the unique red. A minor blending grape from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Counoise is similar to Grenache or Cinsault-light in body and gently fruity. This is made by utilizing carbonic maceration, making for a soft, light-bodied red, showing spice, ripe pomegranate, spicy rhubarb, violets and a bit of natural funk.
