Brackla was the first Scottish distillery to receive "Royal" status, having had the title bestowed upon them in 1833 by King William IV. After first maturing this whiskey in ex-Bourbon barrels, it is finished for 6 months in Sherry Casks. This double wood process gives it a fruity, sweet finish supported by a palate that harmonious joins cinnamon-raisin bread and pain au chocolate with baking spices and ripe apple.
