Boy we really called it. When we tasted the 2012 vintage from this then-unknown young producer, we were quite sure she would be the next star in Barolo. Flash-forward a few years, and she certainly is fast on her way to the stratosphere. This bottling comes from the Serradenari cru in La Morra. This is the highest elevation of the entire appellation. Giulia's flavor style is highly aromatic, but deeply savory: tobacco, incense, rose petal and anise dominate the fragrance of this very special wine. Decant and enjoy.
