Wowie-Zowie. Chad Melville, who has always had a touch with Syrah, produced something truly sublime in the 2016 vintage. A big dose of whole-cluster adds Cornas-like florality and pepper notes, which mingle with tart blackberry fruit perfectly. Exceptional.
