Known for the Tequila labeled under the name "Siembra Azul," among several others, the Vivanco family has been growing Agave in Arandas at 5400' since Mexico's post-revolutionary period. They now hold 2,000 acres of estate-grown Agave, which they use to produce this rich, well-balanced spirit. Ex-Bourbon barrels hold the spirit for 10 months after double distillation, and is bottled with no additions of any kind. The Seleccion series are always the pick of the proverbial litter, and meant to showcase the best of their craftmanship in each category of their Tequila. This tequila drinks velvety smooth, with a rich mouthfeel and no harshness at all. Spice, a gentle sweetness and a distinct earthiness all mingle cohesively and make for a beautiful sipping tequila that makes for an excellent gift (for yourself or others!).
