The Medoc is the name of the region that encompasses some of the best smaller appellations in Bordeaux. Paulliac, Margaux, St-Estephe, and St. Julien all have their home in this area of Bordeaux. The Cabernet grape is king here and gives the wines from this area a bold flavor. This area is also a fantastic wine region for value. Most of the wines grown in the general regions of the Medoc are fantastic and won't break the bank!
