There is so much to learn about what is arguably the most famous wine region in the world, that we have split it up into two fascinating classes! The first session, led by Chris Campbell and Michele d'Aprix, will cover the "Right Bank" of the massive Gironde Estuary. There, a completely unique set of soil types promote the growth of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, creating its own specific Bordeaux style. While history has given more attention to the Chateaux that lay on the other side, right bank Bordeaux represent the entire spectrum from pleasing, everyday wines to some of the world's most expensive labels. Chris and Michele will explain the history of the region, its uniqueness, and how to find the perfect right bank Bordeaux for your next meal.
