Alsace Part 2 with Marie Zusslin

Wednesday, November 2, 2016

Class begins at 7pm.

For our second session on Alsace, we are excited to present an in-depth look at one of our favorite producers. Domaine Valentin Zusslin is situated in Orschwihr, at the southern end of the Alsace wine region, and is especially known for Riesling and Pinot Noir. Marie Zusslin, along with her brother Jean Paul, is the 13th generation in her family to work the vines, and has propelled the estate into the upper echelon of the "natural" wine world, employing biodymanic practices in the vineyard, and often bottling wines without added sulfites. This evening, Marie will pour two Cremant d'Alsace sparklers, two vintages of her incredible Pinot Noir "Bollenberg", and a fascinating flight of Riesling Grand Cru "Pfingstberg" back to 2008! Join us for a special look into the cellar of this exemplery estate.
